Our tv film, which celebrated 30 years since Newport County fans formed a new club from the wreckage of the old, nicely coincided with a fantastic FA Cup run that saw County take on the most expensive squad of football players assembled in the history of world football.

Narrated by comedian Elis James, the programme celebrated the supporters’ efforts and commitment during two periods of exile, when the club was forced to make its home away from Wales. Eventually forced into a win-or-die fight to bring football back home, supporters found themselves up against the Football Association of Wales - and FIFA and UEFA who promised to wipe the club out and issue life bans for all officials if they continued their campaign.
